Addition of New Services Completes Cayuga Park Medical Office Building

Effective August 19, Cayuga Cancer Center’s medical oncology, hematology, and chemotherapy services will move from the Cayuga Medical Center campus to Cayuga Park, 401 Cayuga Park Lane, Suite 300, on the Ithaca Waterfront. A new Lab Services site also opens on August 19 at Cayuga Park. Additionally, DEXA Scan, Mammography, and Ultrasound Imaging services are now available at the medical office building, a service that was launched last month.

Last fall, Cayuga Park first opened to the public for Cayuga Women’s Health, Cayuga Immediate Care, and Cayuga Primary Care Family Medicine.

The Cayuga Park building was designed especially for this group of services with the patients’ needs in mind. The new, state-of-the-art facility offers a comfortable and efficient environment for treatment.  The medical office building is centrally located near downtown and is accessible by bus, for ease of community accessibility.

Thanks to generous donors, the new cancer center offers an expanded waiting room, with more and larger exam rooms.  A chemotherapy suite boasts an expanded footprint with improved privacy and flow, along with best-in-class chemotherapy chairs.

Cayuga Cancer Center’s Radiation Medicine practice and all radiation therapy services will remain at Cayuga Medical Center. Also, patients who have appointments scheduled for Cayuga Cancer Center at the Cortland and East Campus locations will continue to receive services and treatment at those locations.

“The generosity and support of our community is allowing us to further develop and create access to advanced cancer care for Ithaca and the Southern Tier in a comfortable and patient-centered clinical space,” stated Timothy Bael, MD, Medical Director for Oncology Services, Cayuga Health System. “Our state-of-the-art facilities at Cayuga Park allow us to continue to expand the exceptional care we provide along every step of the cancer journey.”

To reach the building, turn onto 3rd Street off State Route 13, then left onto Cayuga Park Lane.

what our patients are saying

“I have had many occasions visiting CMC for myself and family. We have never had a bad experience there at all. Last October I had surgery and the nurses were amazing especially my night nurse. Thank you to all CMC staff for doing what you do every day with a smile.”

“I have to say the last couple visits that I’ve had here have been wonderful. About a month ago I had an EGD and the staff were amazing! Explained everything in detail and made me feel at ease. I was very nervous and the nurse I had was very comforting. Tonight we had to take my son to the emergency room and they were awesome with him! We got right in. “

“I have been a Hemo dialysis patient for almost Five years. Prior to dialysis and during dialysis I have had several trips to the ER, due to other health issues & was admitted to CMC more than a few times. Each and every time I’ve been there, whether in patient or out, I have been treated with respect, professionalism, and efficiency. I give this hospital 2 thumbs up!! Thank you CMC for taking care of me all these years!!”

“The staff and accommodations at Cayuga Birthplace are amazing!!! This is what it I imagine it would feel like to be a celebrity getting VIP treatment. I wish I could stay longer – even the food options are 5 Star! The amenities are great. Everything is clean and designed beautifully. Not a single complaint, only praises!”
