Our goals are to provide quality neurosurgical care locally when feasible and to facilitate transfer for specialized care when needed. We use a multidisciplinary approach in treating spinal issues with an emphasis on conservative treatment modalities prior to surgical consideration
When is neurosurgery necessary?
If spinal surgery is deemed necessary, you will meet with one of our neurosurgical practitioners. The surgeon may recommend either traditional or minimally invasive surgical intervention. Minimally invasive spinal surgery involves a few small incisions resulting in less pain and a faster recovery.
Cayuga Health uses the most advanced computer and imaging technology for both diagnosis of spinal conditions and in the operating room during surgery. Our Spine Camp classes will ensure you are well informed and prepared for your spinal surgery and recovery.
