Hospital medicine physicians are internal and family medicine specialists whose expertise is the care of acutely ill hospital patients. The Hospital Medicine Specialists of CMA see inpatients at Cayuga Medical Center and Schuyler Hospital. We limit our Hospital Medicine practice to caring for patients who are admitted to the hospital, and we work closely with community physicians to coordinate patient care during the hospital stay and at discharge. We treat inpatients who do not have a personal physician, as well as those patients who are established with a community practice physician. Our group includes experienced hospitalists, intensivists (critical care specialists in the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit), and nurse practitioners.
