James Metcalf, MD
About
While in medical school, Dr. Metcalf was named to the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. Following completion of his training in neurosurgery he served on the medical staffs of the Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital in Columbus, Georgia; the Semmes-Murphey Clinic in Memphis; and the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, one of Georgia’s largest comprehensive medical centers. He was a clinical professor of neurosurgery for nineteen years at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Metcalf is a member of the medical staffs at Cayuga Medical Center and the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Strong Memorial Hospital. He has been practicing and teaching neurosurgery for more than twenty-five years.
