John Powell, MD
About
Dr. John Powell earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Cornell University and went on to medical school at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his radiation oncology residency at Upstate University Hospital. Dr. Powell returns to Ithaca from North Carolina, where he had been a radiation oncologist at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City. While there he served as chairman of the Cancer Committee and chairman of the Department of Clinical Support, and was a member of the Medical Executive Committee.
