Our mission is to deliver high-quality care, empower our teams to succeed and improve the wellbeing of the communities we serve.
Joint Commission
Cayuga Medical Center and Schuyler Hospital are accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), a private, independent, not-for-profit organization governed by representatives from the American College of Physicians, the American College of Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and the American Medical Association. The Joint Commission is the world’s leading health-care-accrediting body, and is responsible for setting national patient-care standards. The Joint Commission evaluates and accredits more than 19,500 health care organizations in the United States, including hospitals, health care networks, managed care organizations, and health care organizations that provide home care, long-term care, behavioral care, laboratory, and ambulatory care services.
The fact that we have sought and earned accreditation is an indication of our commitment to provide high quality health care services to the residents of Tompkins, Cortland, Montour Falls and the surrounding counties in upstate New York.
