This year we launched our robotic-assisted surgical programs in both orthopedics and general surgery. Our surgeons are using this advanced technology to bring exacting precision to the procedures we offer Cayuga Medical Center patients. Robotic-assisted surgical technology provides patients with several benefits. Incisions are smaller, more precise, and result in less blood loss compared to conventional open surgery. Patients having robotic-assisted surgery usually recover sooner and heal more quickly than patients having open surgery.
