Our mission at Women’s Health Primary Care is to provide respectful, compassionate, comprehensive primary care to all our patients with a focus on prevention and well-being. We strive to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of patients and to treat the whole person to maximize health. We do this in partnership with our patients, while respecting their autonomy and dignity. Our internal and family medicine trained physicians bring years of experience in preventive and internal medicine, urgent care, menopause management, office gynecology, contraception care, nutrition and more to our patients.

Your breasts change as you go through different stages of your life. It’s important to learn what is normal for your breasts. This is called breast self-awareness. The key to breast self-awareness is knowing how your breasts normally look and feel. This helps you to notice any changes.

Breast self-awareness isn’t about following a certain method and schedule. Breast self-awareness is knowing what’s normal for your breasts. That way you can notice even small changes right away. If you see any changes, report them to your healthcare provider right away.

We follow current ASCCP guidelines in cervical cancer screening and management. Cervical cancer prevention includes a Pap test and high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) screening. HPV can cause cervical, vulvar, mouth and throat cancer. Fortunately, we offer the Gardasil vaccine for prevention of these cancers. If a patient has an abnormal Pap or HPV test, we can assess the findings with colposcopy and treat, if indicated.

Urinary incontinence is not a normal part of aging and can have up to a 90% cure rate. Addressing the underlying cause of incontinence significantly improves the ability to control bladder leakage. This can be managed by implementing conservative lifestyle changes, using medications, and through minimally invasive, outpatient surgery, depending on the diagnosis. Urodynamics, which can help determine how the bladder and urethra are performing, can assist in diagnosis, when indicated.

Changes in menstrual bleeding pattern or bleeding after menopause may signal abnormal uterine pathology, such as fibroids, endometrial polyps, adenomyosis, even malignancy.

Evaluation for uterine abnormalities and management can often be done in the comfort of the office.

Ovarian cysts and masses as well as fibroids are assessed by ultrasound in the office and managed according to their findings, conservatively, medically or surgically.

Pelvic pain and/or pain with intercourse can originate from different sources. The most common causes are pelvic floor dysfunction, uterine and ovarian causes, gastrointestinal or urinary tract causes as well endometriosis. Determining the correct cause is imperative to properly treat the source of pain.

Vulvar disorders vary from vulvadynia (pain) to vulvar dystrophies, infection or even malignant changes.
