MONTOUR FALLS – The Schuyler Health Foundation’s 2016 Family of Friends Campaign for Schuyler Hospital and Seneca View is on its way, but more support is needed to reach the $150,000 goal for the campaign.

To date, the Hospital Board, Health Foundation Board and the Hospital’s Administrative Team are already 100 percent committed to the 2016 campaign.  In addition, a number of medical providers, Auxilians and employees have pledged or donated to date.

More support is needed from community residents and businesses to reach the goal.  One hundred percent of funds donated to the Foundation go directly to needs at the hospital and skilled nursing facility.

“We are now asking members of our community to join their donations to the Schuyler Health Foundation, along with those of our Hospital family,” explained Kathy Fragola, Chair of the Schuyler Health Foundation Board.

Funds raised in 2016 are designated for equipment including an ALS defibrillator, anesthesia machine and endoscope in the hospital, as well as the completion of the hospital bed replacement program in the hospital’s Medical/Surgical unit.  In Seneca View, funds will go toward recliners and lobby furniture, along with infrastructure updates.

“Every contribution by our Family of Friends supporters helps Schuyler Hospital to continue its ability to provide facility renovations and new equipment, which assists our medical staff in providing safe, compassionate care for our hospital patients and Seneca View residents,” said Fragola.

Donors may mail a check to the Schuyler Health Foundation at 220 Steuben Street, Montour Falls, 14865, or donate on-line at  www.schuylerhospital.org.  Donations of any amount are welcome.

Donors in 2016 may choose for their donation to go to either Schuyler Hospital or Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility – or divide their donation between the two.

“Schuyler Hospital recognizes and appreciates the difference that the generosity of our local residents, businesses and organizations makes in the lives of those we serve,” Fragola remarked.

The Foundation’s purpose is to provide funds to, or for the benefit of, Schuyler Hospital and related medical facilities.

Contact the Schuyler Health Foundation at (607) 210-1950 or [email protected] with questions, or to find out more about memorial, honorary, estate, in-kind or matching gifts, as well as multi-year pledges.

“I have to say the last couple visits that I’ve had here have been wonderful. About a month ago I had an EGD and the staff were amazing! Explained everything in detail and made me feel at ease. I was very nervous and the nurse I had was very comforting. Tonight we had to take my son to the emergency room and they were awesome with him! We got right in. “

“I have been a Hemo dialysis patient for almost Five years. Prior to dialysis and during dialysis I have had several trips to the ER, due to other health issues & was admitted to CMC more than a few times. Each and every time I’ve been there, whether in patient or out, I have been treated with respect, professionalism, and efficiency. I give this hospital 2 thumbs up!! Thank you CMC for taking care of me all these years!!”
