CHESS Team Float Pool

Cayuga Health Enterprise Support System (CHESS) Float Pool is a hospital wide float pool. Team members who are part of the CHESS team have flexible schedules and competitive wages, work in multiple units and locations, enjoy a customizable floating experience, have an opportunity to learn new skills, and benefit from a great work environment. Full-time, part-time positions with benefits and PRN positions are available.

The CHESS team was designed to create a system wide float pool to assist in staffing clinical positions.

Objectives of Float Pool:

  • Provide stability in staffing by utilizing experienced team members’ strengths to ensure patient safety, and allow the team member flexibility and variety in their work life.
  • Assure a more highly prepared CHESS team, based on consistency of Cayuga Health processes, policies, and departments
  • Deploy a dedicated, centralized team that continually meets Cayuga Health’s staffing needs and that share Cayuga Health’s mission, vision, and values.

Am I qualified?

You must have at least 1 year of experience in a participating CHESS team department. Upon acceptance into the program, you will be required to meet the minimum points needed at that time. Please reach out to one of our nursing recruiters to discuss what options are available.
