Cayuga Health is proposing to consolidate hematology and oncology services currently provided at East Campus to Cayuga Park, effective December 31, 2026. The proposed consolidation is subject to review and approval by the New York State Department of Health.
Services are not being eliminated.
No positions will be eliminated.
The consolidation would bring hematology and oncology experts together with an on-site lab, pharmacists, clinical research, imaging, nurse navigators, second opinion clinic, and other support services, allowing for more centralized and coordinated patient care. Services will also continue to be provided in Cortland, and at Cayuga Medical Center and Schuyler Hospital.

Purpose: Cayuga Medical Center has submitted a proposed Article 28 Closure Plan to the New York State Department of Health (DOH). In compliance with state regulations, a public meeting will be held to allow community members, staff, and stakeholders to review the proposed plan, ask questions, and provide feedback.
