Centralus Health is proud to announce that the Cayuga Center for Wound Healing has received the prestigious Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award from Healogics®, the nation’s leading provider of advanced wound care services. This distinction places the Center in the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics Wound Care Centers® nationwide, based on its outstanding clinical outcomes and patient care.

The award recognizes the Center’s exceptional Comprehensive Healing Rate, adjusted for wound mix, which reflects the team’s effectiveness in treating complex and chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and more. The Cayuga Center for Wound Healing is one of more than 600 Healogics-affiliated Wound Care Centers® nationwide and has become a regional leader in specialized wound treatment and hyperbaric medicine.

“This achievement is the result of the dedicated efforts of our team over the past three years, who have consistently focused on improving patient care and outcomes,” said Andreia De Lima, MD, Chief Medical Officer for Cayuga Health. “Their expertise and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.”

Cayuga Health and Arnot Health, affiliated under the Centralus Health system, provide care to between 10,000 and 13,000 patients annually at their Healogics-affiliated wound healing centers, delivering this vital care across the region.

Both Wound Care Centers provide a range of advanced wound care therapies, including negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies. In addition, the centers offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy, an advanced treatment that delivers 100 percent oxygen in a pressurized environment to promote wound healing.

Centralus Health is proud to provide access to high-quality wound care through these partnerships with Healogics, ensuring that patients in the Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, and Central New York communities receive the most advanced and compassionate care possible.

what our patients are saying

“I have been a Hemo dialysis patient for almost Five years. Prior to dialysis and during dialysis I have had several trips to the ER, due to other health issues & was admitted to CMC more than a few times. Each and every time I’ve been there, whether in patient or out, I have been treated with respect, professionalism, and efficiency. I give this hospital 2 thumbs up!! Thank you CMC for taking care of me all these years!!”

“I have had many occasions visiting CMC for myself and family. We have never had a bad experience there at all. Last October I had surgery and the nurses were amazing especially my night nurse. Thank you to all CMC staff for doing what you do every day with a smile.”

“I have to say the last couple visits that I’ve had here have been wonderful. About a month ago I had an EGD and the staff were amazing! Explained everything in detail and made me feel at ease. I was very nervous and the nurse I had was very comforting. Tonight we had to take my son to the emergency room and they were awesome with him! We got right in. “

“The staff and accommodations at Cayuga Birthplace are amazing!!! This is what it I imagine it would feel like to be a celebrity getting VIP treatment. I wish I could stay longer – even the food options are 5 Star! The amenities are great. Everything is clean and designed beautifully. Not a single complaint, only praises!”
